My mom used to always say to me, “Nancy, you’re never going to meet a nice guy in a bar.” Well, she was wrong. Thirty-three years ago today, I met a nice man and in a bar. Happy anniversary to the day my husband and I met.
A conversation between a woman, a man, and two friends.
Two women walk into a crowded bar. Both women stand near table with two men.
“I’m going to the bar to get us something to drink. What do you want?” – says friend.
“A beer. Hey, come back right away, okay? I don’t want to be by myself all night.” – replies woman.
Friend walks away. Several minutes go by. Woman looks for her friend. Woman begins conversation with man at nearby table.
“Do you want to dance?” – asks woman.
“Who are you talking to?” – says man.
“You.” – responds woman.
“Okay.” – states man.
Woman and man go out on the dance floor, dance several songs, and then return to the table.
“You’re cute. Have you always been good-looking or are you just practicing?” – says woman,
“Who are you talking to?” – asks man.
“You.” – replies woman.
“Oh.” – answers man.
Man leans over to his friend and whispers.
“Do you know this girl?” – asks man.
“No.” – states friend.
“Well, she’s with me.” – confirms man.
